CASSELBERRY, Fla. — Two men were killed when they were hit by a driver accused of fleeing from authorities.
One of the men, identified as Christopher Marier, was an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida, and now Knights nation is mourning the loss of one of their own.
According to a sheriff’s affidavit, authorities were conducting surveillance on Jeremiah Wheaton through the Central Florida Criminal Intelligence Bureau (CCIB) and the Seminole Collaborative and Opioid Response Effort when investigators began following his BMW northbound on State Road 417…
