Lexington planning commission proposes ban on large-scale solar in agricultural zones

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The Lexington Planning Commission voted unanimously Thursday to revise a zoning ordinance text amendment recommended by the Urban County Council that would have allowed large-scale solar projects on agricultural land.

The revised recommendation would prohibit large and intermediate scale solar energy development in agricultural zones.
