Floyd Domingue, former director of administration for Lafayette City Government, died Wednesday at ag 90.
Domingue was known for his time serving as Lafayette’s director of administration, where he was responsible for all City Hall employees. While there, he was instrumental in directing programs and financial moves that helped save the city money. He also had a professional career that spanned over 64 years in the oil and gas industry, where he worked as an independent petroleum landman with Bullen & Domingue, Amoco, and Williams Companies.
Domingue served a past president of the Lafayette Association of Petroleum Landmen, president of Lafayette Town House and Ball Chairman for the Krewe of Troubadours. He was a member of the Petroleum Club, and was actively involved with the Acadiana Home Builders Association, where he was recognized as Associate of the Year, according to his obituary…
