Hash Vegan Eatery is a popular stop for plant-based dining and sober beverages in San Antonio, but the restaurant is preparing for a temporary service interruption due to major changes coming to the Southside business.
In a recent Instagram reel, Hash Vegan Eatery co-owner Rogelio Sanchez announced that the brick-and-mortar location will close soon due to renovations planned by the landlord. The restaurant will pause operations at the end of August, remain closed through September and is looking to reopen in early October.
“We’re going to be strapped for cash, and it’s hard for us to ask for money or any kind of financial support because we know how hard it is for everybody currently. This isn’t us asking for help,” Sanchez said in the video. “And if you could, please, please come through Hash, spend money that you can, only if you can.”
As part of the temporary closure, Hash will be required to move everything out of the South Flores Street space as its landlord prepares to make changes to the location, which Sanchez said will be “completely gutted.”…
