A family legacy that began generations ago is finding a new home in Tucson. This fall, Hannah Massarat will open The Rug Dealer’s Daughter, a showroom designed to make shopping for rugs approachable, stylish, and accessible. Alongside it, Tucson Rug Cleaning Co. is already serving customers as the city’s only dedicated area rug cleaning facility.
Massarat’s connection to the industry runs deep. Her family’s rug business began four generations ago in Tehran before political upheaval forced them to rebuild their lives in the United States. Carrying their craftsmanship and knowledge with them, the family established a new chapter that continues today.
After studying interior architecture at Arizona State University and working in commercial design, Massarat returned to her family’s trade with a fresh perspective. Her goal is to help homeowners find rugs that complement their spaces while fitting their everyday lifestyles and budgets…
