NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Due to some areas experiencing flooding, all eastbound and westbound lanes of Carrollton Avenue at the I-10 overpass are closed to traffic, the New Orleans Police Department announced Saturday.
The NOPD urges all motorists to avoid the area and look for an alternative route until all floodwaters go down and the road can be safely reopened.
Officers are at the scene to assist with traffic control.
Numerous areas of flooding for Saturday afternoon
Additionally, the other areas that are closed due to flooding are as follows:
- Canal Underpass
- Broad Underpass
- Toledano and Carondelet streets
- I-10 east
- Edinburgh and Mistletoe street
