Middle Tennessee including Nashville, Murfreesboro, Clarksville and Columbia is under a flood watch through 6 p.m. on July 12, as very heavy thunderstorms are expected Saturday afternoon and overnight.
National Weather Service forecasters predict slow-moving storms with heavy rainfall rates will roll into the area by 5 p.m. and continue through midnight Saturday. Another 1 to 3 inches of rain are expected.
