Woman sentenced to 7 years in fatal Hunterdon County overdose case

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A Paterson woman was sentenced Friday to seven years in New Jersey State Prison for supplying narcotics that caused the fatal overdose of a Clinton Township man, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office announced.

Superior Court Judge Christopher J. Garrenger sentenced Shaneshea M. Cooper, 29, on July 10 to a seven-year prison term subject to the No Early Release Act. Under the sentence, Cooper must serve five years, 11 months and 16 days before becoming eligible for parole, followed by three years of parole supervision upon her release.
