LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Community organizations in Louisville are helping families prepare for the new school year by providing backpacks, school supplies and other resources as parents face rising costs.
Goodwill Kentucky partnered with the Kentucky College of Barbering and WeCare to provide 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to students and families. For some parents, the help comes as the cost of back-to-school shopping adds to other household expenses, including groceries, rent and bills.
