GasBuddy: With collapse of ceasefire, gas prices rise for 1st time since May 11

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — GasBuddy reports that for the first time in eight weeks, gas prices have risen in the nation and western North Carolina.

According to a July 13 news release, GasBuddy is reporting an increase of two cents per gallon in the Asheville area since last week and a rise of 10.3 cents per gallon across the nation.

“The national average price of gasoline has seen its first weekly increase since May 11, snapping a streak of eight straight weekly declines, with prices climbing in nearly four out of five states,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, in the release…
