UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) — New Yorkers and the Department of Health are concerned by the growing number of Legionnaires’ disease cases on the Upper East Side, which has prompted another town hall meeting.
As of Saturday night, 56 people were confirmed to have had Legionnaires’ disease in Carnegie Hill and Yorkville. Sixteen of them are currently in the hospital being treated.

The health department finished its sweep of tests in Upper East Side buildings, resulting in 31 positive results.
