Casual American restaurant chain Applebee’s shuts down Polaris location

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The Applebee’s near Polaris Fashion Place has permanently closed after 27 years of business.

The casual American restaurant chain recently shut down its location at 1161 Polaris Parkway in north Columbus. It’s unclear exactly when the eatery shuttered, though Google reviews suggest it closed about two to three weeks ago.

NBC4 asked Applebee’s parent company, Dine Brands Global, when the restaurant closed and why, and received the following statement.

“The Applebee’s restaurant at 1161 Polaris Pwky., Columbus, OH has permanently closed,” said Applebee’s franchisee Rod Conant. “We greatly appreciate our neighbors’ patronage for the past 27 years and look forward to continuing to serve them at our eight nearby locations in the Columbus area. All team members were offered positions at our other area locations.”…
