Los Feliz — Tony Fanara, owner of the landmark Palermo Italian Restaurant, and a former candidate for governor, died Friday at his restaurant, according to his daughter Michelle. He was 79.
“We don’t have the cause of death yet,” Michelle said, “but it looks like it was a heart attack.”
