A teenager was shot in the leg at Tacoma’s Wright Park on Sunday evening.
According to Shelbie Boyd, spokesperson for the Tacoma Police Department, a group of teenagers gathered near the park, 501 S. I St., before officers responded to call that someone was struck by a firework.
When officers arrived at about 8 p.m., they found a teenager with a bullet wound in the leg. Boyd said officers suspect the gunshot was self-inflicted and possibly an accident. Boyd said the victim has been uncooperative with police and that there are no witnesses to the shooting…
