Caregiver accused of assaulting 2 infants at Oaks daycare loses bid to sever cases

NORRISTOWN — A Phoenixville woman accused of physically assaulting two infants in her care while she worked at an Upper Providence daycare center has lost her bid to sever the cases for two separate trials.

Catalina Baldwin, 38, of the 600 block of Nutt Road, will face one trial in Montgomery County Court on charges of aggravated assault of a child, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with alleged incidents involving two infants that occurred between May and July 2025 while she worked at the former Oaks Early Learning Center in Upper Providence Township, according to a judge’s order.
