Ohio widow who won $30K in Ohio Lottery scratch-offs said she was following a voice in her head

MOUNT GILEAD, Ohio (WJW) — An Ohio widow who won $30,000 on an Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket said she was following a little voice in her head that told her to play.

Angie’s husband Steve died three years ago on June 17, one day after their anniversary. “Things just weren’t the same,” reads a Monday, July 13, news release from the Ohio Lottery.

Steve was lucky, too. Years ago, he also won $30,000 on a scratch-off ticket. He bought the tickets before he got sick, but forgot about them in his truck.

They drove around in that truck for months, the ticket’s winnings yet to be revealed. Once they found it, they used the money to remodel their house, according to the lottery…
