A 20-year-old Chicago man died July 12 after an apparent accidental drowning at a northwest Gainesville mobile home park, according to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded at about 6:25 p.m. to the Hidden Oaks Mobile Home Park community pool, 100 Castle Drive, following a report of a possible drowning. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive man submerged in the deep end.
