LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A Louisville woman is gathering donations to send critical supplies to La Guaira, Venezuela, where earthquake survivors are beginning to recover from widespread destruction that has left families without homes, medicine and medical centers.
Jenny Gutierrez, of Unidos Por Venezuela, is leading the effort in Louisville to collect and pack supplies for families in her hometown. Organizers said donations have been piling up as community members work to support people affected by the disaster.
