Man accused of tossing meth while fleeing police on motorcycle arrested in Andalusia

ANDALUSIA, Ala. (WDHN) — A Mobile man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after police say he led officers on a motorcycle pursuit through Andalusia, discarded evidence and fled on foot before being tased and taken into custody.

Pedestrian killed along Coffee County road, coroner says

According to the Andalusia Police Department, the incident began when an officer attempted to stop 41-year-old Brady Evan Kirksey in the Walmart parking lot after observing what police described as suspicious behavior.

Police said Kirksey left the parking lot through the west exit onto Sanford Road and ignored the officer’s emergency lights and sirens, accelerating instead of stopping.

During the pursuit, officers said Kirksey nearly lost control of the motorcycle as he approached Academy Drive and was seen throwing items from the bike onto the roadway.
