Toledo council member proposes school camera pilot linked to Flock network, local schools weigh in

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo City Council member is asking council to approve a pilot project that would connect exterior school security cameras to the Toledo Police Department’s Flock safety network, saying the goal is to improve emergency response and help keep students safe.

Council Member Adam Martinez is proposing the project for 14 public, private and Catholic schools located in Toledo’s District 2. Council is expected to consider the proposal at its meeting Tuesday.
