Old West End neighbor cleans up dumped trash left behind by construction crew

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A neighbor in the historic Old West End neighborhood said she is cleaning up a pile of debris left at the intersection of Glenwood and Monroe after finding it dumped next door.

“There’s no reason to dump trash just any and everywhere. There’s no reason for it. That I don’t understand,” the neighbor said.

Neighbor describes discovery

The neighbor, who lives on Glenwood Avenue and asked to remain anonymous, said she walked out of her home early Friday afternoon to find used food and drink containers, building materials and tree branches dumped next door.

“I was just so disgusted and frustrated. My first reaction was to call 13 Action News before I made any other calls,” she said.

Dumpster removed, trash left behind

The neighbor said the garbage had been inside a large construction dumpster placed on the property earlier in the week for crews renovating the building. She said crews left a mess behind when they hauled the dumpster away…
