Another Crab House Seafood Boil & Bar is coming soon to Cedar Rapids! Signage for the local restaurant has appeared in one of the spaces just outside of Lindale Mall near the entrance to the food court.
About Crab House
Crab House Seafood Boil & Bar first came on the Cedar Rapids restaurant scene back in October of 2023. That’s when the first location opened at 2360 Edgewood Road SW in the Westdale Town Center. Then, last year, the restaurant expanded into Johnson County. The second Crab House location opened at 945 25th Ave in Coralville, just outside of Coral Ridge Mall in the Coral Valley Shopping Center, in November of 2025. Now it appears that a third location is on its way!
Signage has appeared for Crab House Seafood Boil & Bar just outside of Lindale Mall in the former home of Lindale Neighborhood Pub. Lindale Neighborhood Pub just closed its doors in late April of this year. Prior to that, the building was home to Olde Brick House and Boulder Tap House.
Crab House specializes in Cajun-style seafood boils. The menu features several different pre-determined combos to choose from, but customers also have the option to build their own. Each combo comes with corn and red potatoes, with your choice of seafood, sauce, and spice level. Some of the seafood options available include shrimp, crawfish, clams, crab, lobster, and mussels.
In addition to the seafood boils, the menu at Crab House also has plenty of other dishes available. That includes rice and noodle meals, fried seafood baskets, a variety of shrimp appetizers, salads, seafood chowder, and signature entrees like Gator Bites and the Fisherman’s Feast. The Opening
Although the Crab House social media pages have not mentioned the new Cedar Rapids restaurant yet, the official website indicates that a new location is “COMING SOON.” There is also a Google listing for the restaurant that reads:
“Crab House is coming to the North East side! We are officially expanding! Get ready for your favorite legendary seafood boils and signature flavors right in your neighborhood. We are cracking open our doors this July. Stay tuned for our official grand opening date—we can’t wait to serve the NE side!”…
