Final day of below-average temperatures

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Temperatures aren’t too bad this morning. It’s definitely humid, but conditions are relatively comfortable as we start the day in the low to mid-70s. This will be the final day of below-average temperatures, with highs running about 4 to 5 degrees below normal. Most locations will top out in the mid to upper 80s.

Rain remains in the forecast today, but we’re not expecting any severe weather. However, with very high humidity in place, some heavy downpours are likely—similar to what we saw yesterday, when several areas picked up 4 to 6 inches of rainfall.

Skies will stay mostly cloudy, with showers coming and going throughout the day. Overall coverage won’t be as widespread as it was yesterday, but some communities could still receive a beneficial soaking rain…
