A longtime fixture of the St. Mary’s Strip is seemingly gone for good. Candlelight PourHouse took a brief hiatus in January 2026, according to a Google update from the coffee and wine spot, but more recently the business has undergone a more permanent closure.
Social media accounts and the website for Candlelight have disappeared online, and the cafe’s phone number is no longer in service. Google lists the business as permanently closed, and CultureMap San Antonio reported that Candlelight has moved out of its townhouse location. There are already a few bread crumbs leading to a new concept that will soon take over the vacant space at 107 Kings Court near the popular nightlife strip.
A new Instagram profile for something called Vecino (neighbor in Spanish) lists the address in its bio with few other details to indicate what the incoming concept might be. There does appear to be some kind of connection to Bilia Eatery in Castle Hills, so MySA has reached out to the business via email to confirm if this is the case.
Founded in 1995, Candlelight has seen a few iterations both in name and location, taking the shape of a coffee house, a wine bar and a “pourhouse” over the years.
