CADDO PARISH, La. (KSLA) – Caddo Parish Fire District 5 has a new fire truck, thanks to an investment of just over $1 million from the Port of Caddo-Bossier.
Fire Chief Darrell Braniff said the department was already in the process of buying a new truck when the port commission offered to cover the cost — relieving a significant financial burden on the district.
“What started out as a casual conversation at lunch turned into a true blessing, not only for the department, but the citizens that we serve,” Braniff said.
