KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The University of Tennessee is preparing to replace three aging, former residence halls with modern student housing on its Knoxville campus after getting state approval for the project. Students say the change is needed as enrollment continues to grow.
“I lived in one of the dorms that is currently not available to freshmen anymore,” said Grace Claerbout, a UT senior. “It is definitely going to be really nice for new students to have those new dorms to go into.”
