AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Amarillo City Council is expected to hold a regular meeting Tuesday afternoon, in which officials will discuss potential property purchases, the City Council Audit Committee and potential forensic audit, and parking regulations for the U.S. Route 66 – Sixth Street Historic District, among other items.
According to the published agenda, the Amarillo City Council will meet for a closed executive session at 1 p.m., which will include discussion of potential business prospects for transportation, information, and manufacturing projects. The council will also discuss the possible purchase of property in the southwest quadrant of the city.

The regular Amarillo City Council meeting is expected to begin at 3 p.m., with sign-up for public comment available online here, by calling the City Secretary’s office at 806-378-3014, or in person at least 15 minutes before the scheduled meeting start time.
