QTS Data Centers, a global digital infrastructure leader, announced a $5 million grant to launch a skilled trades workforce program to expand access to training and career pathways in eastern Iowa, including Cedar Rapids and Clinton.
QTS is currently developing a 612-acre data center campus in Big Cedar Industrial Center, in southwest Cedar Rapids near the Eastern Iowa Airport. The $10 billion project will include seven buildings. Between 4,500 and 7,000 construction workers are expected to work on the project during its build-out.
