Sonny Williams Welcomes Guests Back Following Restaurant Refresh

Sonny Williams Steak Room will officially reopen on Saturday, July 18, welcoming guests back after a refresh under its new ownership group. While diners will notice updates throughout the restaurant, the team says the goal has been to preserve the qualities that have made Sonny Williams a favorite in the River Market District for more than 25 years.

Located at 500 President Clinton Ave., Sonny Williams first opened in 1999 and built a reputation for premium steaks, fresh seafood, an extensive wine list and attentive service. Over the years, it has become a popular destination for celebrations, business dinners and special occasions.

“Sonny Williams has always been one of Little Rock’s great restaurant traditions,” said Jim Keet. “So many people have memories here, and that matters to us. But we also want Sonny’s to be a place people come back to more often—not just for a birthday or an anniversary, but for dinner any night or a drink after work. Our commitment was never to change what made Sonny’s special, but to honor it, refresh it and carry it into its next chapter.”

The restaurant’s ownership group now includes Jim, Tommy and Jake Keet, along with Brent Lenners, Ben Brainard and Louis Petit. Longtime Sonny Williams leaders Jimmy Young, Ryan McNally and Kevin Kordsmeier also remain partners, helping maintain the restaurant’s longstanding commitment to quality and hospitality.

Guests returning to the restaurant will find a refreshed interior designed by Shelby Cotton, updated lighting and cosmetic improvements throughout the dining room and bar. The signature menu of steaks, seafood, appetizers, desserts and wines remains in place, while new menu additions aim to make Sonny Williams a destination for both special occasions and everyday dining…
