PUC won’t let Xcel supply electricity to Knife River

PIERRE, S.D. (KELO) — South Dakota regulators have turned down a request from a Sioux Falls-area rock crushing business to contract with Xcel Energy for power.

The state Public Utilities Commission on Tuesday denied the application from Sweetman Construction, doing business as Knife River.
