(PRESS RELEASE) MELVILLE, NY — Canon U.S.A. announced the U.S. unveiling of its varioPRESS iV7, a B2+ sheetfed inkjet press, at the thINK Ahead 2026 conference in Boca Raton, FL. The event marks the first installation and live demonstration of the press in the United States. General availability in the U.S. is expected in Q1 2027.
The varioPRESS iV7 operates at speeds of up to 8,700 19.7-by-27.5-inch B2 sheets per hour. It handles sheet sizes from 13 by 19 inches up to a custom 24.5-by-29.5-inch option. The B2+ format allows for 6-up letter page imposition on a standard 23-by-29-inch sheet, according to the company.
The press is designed for commercial printers, photobook production, direct mail providers and publishing environments.
