Bicycle journey aims to show what’s possible for people on the autism spectrum

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Kettering man is raising awareness about autism one mile at a time through a 300-mile round-trip bicycle ride across western Ohio.

Theodore Hale is in the middle of the ride, which began south of Dayton and takes him through Auglaize, Allen and Putnam counties.

As an autistic man himself, Hale hopes to show others on the autism spectrum that they can accomplish whatever they set their minds to.

By the end of his journey, Hale will have bicycled more than 5,000 miles over an eight-month span. He hopes his accomplishment will inspire others to pursue their own goals, regardless of the challenges they face…
