COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Detectives from the Columbus Division of Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the women suspected in an assault in the Short North on the morning of July 5th.
According to a press release, a woman was walking south on North High Street when she encountered two women. The pair confronted her, accusing her of laughing at them. During the confrontation, one of the women sprayed both the victim and another woman with pepper spray.
After the victim was sprayed, the second woman hit her in the head with a metal insulated cup, causing her to fall to the ground. While she was on the ground, several other people joined in the assault. When the attack ended, the victim discovered that her purse and personal belongings had been taken…
