A new list shows which Allen County properties are currently eligible for the county’s tax sale this fall — and owners, renters, and neighbors all have reason to check it.
The county has posted the 2026 Tax Sale List on the Auditor’s office website, with the sale itself scheduled for September 16. Any property delinquent on three or more tax installments is eligible to appear on the list.

What happens to properties that don’t sell
Not every property at the September sale will attract a buyer. When that happens, the county can certify unsold parcels to the Board of Commissioners, which may then transfer them to the Allen County Community Development Corp. (ACCDC) for resale to the public.
That transfer isn’t automatic — not every unsold property ends up with the ACCDC. Contact the Auditor’s office to find out whether a specific property was deeded there.
A note for prospective buyers
