Harrisburg council to ‘wait for all the investigating to be done’ about allegations against mayor

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A Harrisburg city council leader has given the first indication that the council may be looking into allegations against Mayor Wanda Williams (D) and her administration.

The allegations came in an anonymous letter forwarded to the city council before Mischelle Moyer, Williams’s former spokesperson, was placed on administrative leave and subsequently dismissed.

“There’s definitely been questions about what was in it, and hopefully we can hear back from legal and get a definitive answer on everything that was going on,” Lamont Jones (D), the council’s vice president, told abc27 News before Tuesday night’s city council meeting. “I just won’t comment at the moment and wait for all of the investigating to be done, and then we probably can give a statement in that regard.”…
