ATHENS, Texas (KLTV) – An Athens man was found guilty of murder Tuesday in the death of his sober-living roommate.
Nicki Lee Gibby, 38, of Dallas, was convicted of first-degree murder in the death of Derris Lee Reynolds, 41, who was last seen at a sober living house in the 100 block of South Wofford Street in Athens.
Judicial notes from Henderson County Judge R. Scott McKee show Gibby entered an open plea with a 50-year sentencing cap, with a pre-sentence investigation report due Oct. 1.
His sentencing hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Oct. 8 at the Henderson County Courthouse in Athens…
