PWCS has appointed Dr. Tanganyika (Tangy) H. Millard as associate superintendent for high schools, replacing Keith Wolfe, who retired last month. With more than 30 years of experience in education, Dr. Millard currently serves as director of high schools for PWCS.
Dr. Millard has more than 15 years of school administrative experience. She served as principal of Bryant Alternative High School in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) for nearly three years before serving as principal of West Potomac High School for six years. She also served in leadership capacities at John R. Lewis High School, Hayfield Secondary School, Glasgow Middle School, and Falls Church High School, all in FCPS.
Dr. Millard has also worked as a school counselor, math and science teacher, and currently serves as an adjunct professor for the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at The George Washington University…
