MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A free mobile app is now alerting drivers to the status of three local bridges in the Grand Strand.
TheBridge App sends push notifications to users’ devices and provides real-time bridge status information. The Socastee Swing Bridge and the Little River Bridge were already on the platform, and the Barefoot Swing Bridge has recently been added.
App added at no cost to the city
North Myrtle Beach city officials said the addition came at no cost after the app’s developer contacted the city to add the bridge. The Barefoot Swing Bridge is operated and maintained by North Myrtle Beach.
