BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — Crews responded to a fire at Abbott Hall on Montreat College’s Black Mountain campus Thursday, July 16, 2026.
Black Mountain fire officials said a driver called in the fire just before 1 p.m. after seeing smoke from U.S. 70. When crews arrived, they found a fully involved fire and were able to knock it down.
