BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the 17-year-old boy from Lost Hills who died after being struck by a vehicle while on a gas-powered bike.
David Vargas Vasquez of Lost Hills was riding a “gas-powered bicycle” on northbound Lost Hills Road, south of King Street, around 11:23 p.m. on July 10, according to the coroner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at 11:49 p.m. at the scene, officials said.
