MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Montgomery police have arrested a woman on multiple animal cruelty charges.
Authorities say Veronica Jackson, 40, was taken into custody Wednesday by Montgomery Police Department SWAT on outstanding warrants for three counts of first-degree animal cruelty and two counts of second-degree animal cruelty.
Jackson’s arrest happened in the 1100 block of John Overton Drive. The Montgomery Humane Society confirmed to WSFA 12 News that the arrest was made on their property.
MHS officials said the investigation was the “result of a collaborative effort between the Montgomery Police Department and the Montgomery Humane Society’s Humane Officer Division.”…
