NJ Woman Charged After Investigators Say Meth Was Found in Hotel Room

Newark, N.J. — A Bergen County woman is facing federal drug charges after investigators say she was distributing methamphetamine from a hotel room.

38-year-old Brittany Malsch of Garfield was charged with possession with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and ordered detained following an initial appearance in Newark federal court.

According to authorities, investigators had been looking into Malsch since at least December. After confirming she was staying at a hotel in Fairfield, Essex County, investigators executed a search warrant on her room and found multiple bags of suspected crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials, and approximately $1,720 in cash…
