GRANT, La. (KPLC) – Four people were arrested for helping a runaway child from Allen Parish, including the girl’s biological parents, authorities said.
The girl ran away from her home in Grant, where she lives with legal guardians. A friend picked her up and took her to her biological parents’ house, then to Texas, according to a news release from Allen Parish Sheriff Doug Hebert.
Around 11:30 p.m. on July 11, Allen Parish patrol deputies responded to a call from the child’s legal guardians, who reported to deputies that she had run away sometime in the late evening, and they were concerned about her safety, Sheriff Hebert said. Using information provided by the guardians, detectives found the girl northwest of Houston around 9 p.m. on July 12.
