SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — An effort to arrest dangerous fugitives in the Sioux Falls area ended with 35 people behind bars.
The Repeat Offender Project, made up of federal, state and local law enforcement officers, worked to arrest fugitives, parole absconders and gang members during the week of July 6.
“Two of the felons we arrested as part of the sweep this week were armed with guns at the time, which is itself a federal felony,” said U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons. “My office is currently working with law enforcement investigators to bring separate federal charges.”…
