After nearly nine months, the city of La Mesa is closer to repairing a broken street light at Baltimore Drive and Lake Park Way, where a pedestrian was hit and killed while crossing the street last September.
Some La Mesa residents have since urged the city to repair the broken street light since September 16, 2025, when the 61-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car while walking across an unmarked crosswalk just outside of the 7-11 shopping center.
