There are a few things I know about Amarillo. We love our food. When there is talk about a restaurant opening or closing, everyone wants to know about it. A lot of us will make sure we are in line or having dinner pretty much as soon as they open, if not sometime that week.
We want to be the first to know how the new place is. We want to be the leaders in deciding what the best menu items are. We want to discuss the service. That is just how Amarillo is. We don’t want to miss out.
Another thing I know about our city is that we have big hearts. When a business is struggling, we like to show our support. While I was on vacation, I was tagged in a social media post because a restaurant was struggling. A commenter made sure to tag me so that I could help get the message out.
The Big Move to Wellington Square
The restaurant is Jorge’s Tacos Garcia. For thirty years, they were located on Ross Street. Earlier this year, they took a leap of faith by relocating to a central, high-profile spot at 1619 S. Kentucky Street in Wellington Square. It used to house both Gardski’s and Leal’s. So the location is not bad…
