Ever since I’ve known the Summer Slaughter Tour, a tour featuring some of the best extreme metal acts, I’ve always wished Omaha would be one of the tour dates. And that finally happened on Wednesday, July 15, when the tour rolled into Omaha to perform at the Admiral. What was great about this night was no band sounded the same.
We had a double punch of locals with Setback (Omaha) and Iced Wrist (Lincoln). Setback, more on the hardcore side and Iced Wrist, more on the death metal side. Both bands got the energy going, with the audience causing a ruckus at the barricade. Really impressed by both and glad they were selected for this bill of established acts…
