Taco Bell, Taylor Farms sued over cyclospora outbreak linked to shredded lettuce, attorneys say

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WAVE) – If you ate at Taco Bell recently in parts of the Midwest and started feeling sick, you’re not alone.

Attorneys say the first lawsuit tied to a nationwide cyclospora outbreak linked to shredded iceberg lettuce served at Taco Bell has now been filed in Ohio. The suit names Taco Bell and Taylor Farms and was filed in Mahoning County on behalf of David Ott, a U.S. Army veteran.

The firm of Ron Simon & Associates say Ott bought several Taco Supremes from the Taco Bell at 850 N. Canfield Niles Road in Youngstown on June 18 and June 20, 2026. Within a couple days, they say he developed intense stomach pain and other symptoms, including diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. His wife took him to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center, where he was admitted and underwent several tests. The lawyers say lab results confirmed a cyclospora infection…
