A 61-year-old Florida man was sentenced to four consecutive life terms on Thursday following his June conviction for the sexual abuse of a minor, officials announced.
Terry Franklin Pennington of Marion County was found guilty of three counts of lewd and lascivious battery of a child between 12 and 16 years of age and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child within the same age bracket.
“Children deserve to be protected, not exploited. This multiple consecutive life sentence send a clear message that those who victimize our children will face the most severe consequences the law allows.
