POLK COUNTY, Fla. – If you are going to commit a heist, it helps not to be on the local sheriff’s “Most Familiar Faces” list. It also helps not to already be sitting in jail.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, 47-year-old Gerald Cobbs managed to check both of those unfortunate boxes this week. The Organized Crime Unit has tacked an extra felony retail theft charge onto Cobbs, who was already relaxing inside the Polk County Jail on entirely separate shoplifting charges.
